Storytime & Explorer Club

Story Time 

Class sessions run for approximately six to eight weeks in the Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer. Call the Youth Services Department at (217) 732-5732 for more information or to register.

Story Time (6months – 5 years old) sessions are on Wednesday at 10:00 – 10:20 AM. Participants listen to stories, sing and move, and craft a little.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten (newborn – start of Kindergarten) ongoing, self-paced program that encourages parents and caregivers to regularly read aloud to their children to develop essential literacy skills. See Youth Services for details on how to participate.

Summer Reading Program (newborn – Grade 12) Six weeks out of the summer will be dedicated to fun live programs and performances. You will be able track the books read to you (Read-to-Me) or the minutes that you read and earn exciting incentives.

STREAM CLUB and Explorer CLUB

STREAM Club (Grades Kindergarten – 2nd) Experiment in different scientific areas and create something to take home (Must know how to use scissors and glue).

Explorer Club (Grades 3rd – 5th) Enjoy fun engineering, biology, and technology program activities.
