Press Release Concerning Curbside Service - November 10, 2020
As the number of COVID cases increases in Logan County, the Lincoln Public Library District would like to encourage our patrons to consider using curbside service as a means of lowering the chance of COVID being spread. The Lincoln Public Library District offers curbside service Monday through Friday from 11-1. Curbside orders must be placed in advanced by either calling the library at 217-732-8878 or by e-mailing the library at refdesklpld@gmail.com. Library staff will then call the patron to arrange a pick up time. Patrons will need to have a valid library card. Please feel free to contact the library if you have questions. The library buildings are still open to the public.
Update July 21, 2020
Starting Wednesday July 22 the Lincoln Public Library will be temporarily closed until July 31.
This difficult decision was made due to a possible coronavirus exposure that occurred involving several library staff as well as the increasing number of positive results in Logan County. Curbside service will still be provided from 11-1, Monday through Friday. If you wish to arrange for curbside delivery or have questions please call the library at 217-732-8879.

We will be returning to our regular hours with the following schedule changes.
Monday-Friday there we will be open from 9-11 for those with a weakened immune system.
From 11-1 we will be providing curbside service only and the library buildings will be closed.
From 1 to closing we will be open to the public.
In order for us to be compliant with state regulations we ask that patrons wear masks. We are also required to restrict access to 10 patrons at a time in each building.

Update June 2, 2020
Curbside Pickup at the Lincoln Public Library District
The Lincoln Public Library District will be offering curbside service Monday through Friday from 11-1 beginning Monday, June 1. The library building will not be open to the public. Curbside orders must be placed in advanced by calling the library at 217-732-8878, by e-mailing the library at refdesklpld@gmail.com or by logging into your library account to request our items on our public access catalog. Library staff will then call the patron to arrange a pick up time.
Patrons will need to have a valid library card. Unfortunately there are some restrictions that are in place at this time over which we have not control. We are hopeful that this situation will be corrected soon.
Currently we are limited to items that belong to the Lincoln Public Library District. We will not be able to obtain books from other libraries through inter-library loan at this time. As such we feel that it is necessary to limit patrons to 10 items so that other patrons have the opportunity to obtain materials. Please feel free to contact the library if you have questions.
